I received this book for my birthday in October but didn't have time to touch it until Christmas break. I confess I am a history nut, so I loved the subject material more than most. But McCullough has an ability to make the events come to life before the readers eyes, and even people who failed history class would enjoy this account of the improbable beginning of this nation.
